Nothing worse than when people who are generally good at the jokes do a not-so-great one, eh? Oh wait, this is worse - when they're doing it about us...that should make it 110% more funny! After all, we live in a pretty hilarious country. But this one just misses the mark for our money. Disappointment stings.
Do you like fashion? Oh good, I'm glad. TV3 and Toto Productions are looking for people who like fashion for their new show Style Wars. Pictured above is tough as nails judge Caprice.
Details here, but hurry, you've only got until March 12th!

The best thing about Thursdays is the gig announcements online and in the grown-up newspapers. Today alone, we have learned:
- The Cranberries are playing the Marquee in Cork this summer. Dreams really do come true.
- Macca's coming backa to Dublin. Ok, we knew that yesterday, but it's still nice to see it in print. We heart Macca - especially the bonkers 80s stuff.
And, BEST OF ALL:
- Friend of the Dubliner James O'Neill (that's him above!) brings his lovely/too hot for tv group Bitches With Wolves to the Academy 2 for three dates next month. Details and tunes on their MySpace. Yes, people still use MySpace.
The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival had cinemas buzzing for the last ten days as their most ambitious program to date played out on Dublin's big screens. The opening event, the European premiere of Ondine - Neil Jordan's collaboration with Colin Farrell - turned into a huge party for the Irish film industry and began a relentless calendar of must-see movies. Highlights included a screening of Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant, a tribute to Kristin Scott Thomas and the premiere of Irish director Conor Horgan's first feature One Hundred Mornings.
